Tons of tomatoes are rotting due to lack of buyers in the Philippines

Tons of ripe tomatoes, harvested around the town of Tinoc in the Ifugao province of the Philippines, have been dumped due to a lack of buyers. Domingo Mariano, a grower from Tinoc municipality, said buyers are hindered by the entry requirements to the markets; those who have not been vaccinated against corona will not have access to the markets. Another grower said he had to take back at least two tons of unsold ripe tomatoes from the warehouse in Nueva Vizcaya because he had no buyers for his wares.
