More than 400 products have been added to the list of goods feeling the weight of the 50% tariffs on steel and aluminum imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, the U.S. Department of Commerce reported on Tuesday. In the latest escalation of the trade war, products such as railcars, construction equipment like cranes, and other types of heavy machinery, along with a list of miscellaneous goods, such as aerosol cans, were added to the list of steel and aluminum products subject to high tariffs. The list also includes products such as wind turbines and their parts and components, tractors, furniture, compressors and pumps, automotive parts, tools, cutlery and silverware, and special chemicals, as well as insecticides. In the midst of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, air conditioning machines and appliances containing a motorized fan are also on the list.
