By Pedro Lima São Paulo, 27/10/2025 - The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Monday that he sees "a good chance" of closing a deal with China during the meeting with the country's leader, Xi Jinping, later this week. "We have China coming, and I think we will come out with a deal," the Republican told journalists aboard the presidential plane. The two will meet on Thursday (30). The Republican also revealed that he intends to visit China "at the beginning of next year," while Xi Jinping is expected to return the visit "in Washington, Palm Beach, or some other place" at a later date. "We agreed that I will go first, and he will come later," said Trump. Trump avoided anticipating terms of this week's negotiations, but highlighted confidence in the progress.
