At the Russian Durum Day 2025 international conference, Namik Kemal Parlak, the editor-in-chief of Miller magazine, predicted a surge in the global pasta market, which reached 4.864 million tons or 6.537 billion dollars in 2023. Italy currently dominates this market, followed by Turkey, which has seen a steady increase in its share since 2014. In 2023, Italy led with 1.941 million tons of pasta exports, compared to Turkey's 1.246 million tons, but by 2025, Turkey's exports are expected to reach 1.5 million tons. As of 2024, Turkey exported pasta to over 165 countries and plans to further expand its capacity from the current 3 million tons annually to 4 million tons by adding six more factories. These expansions aim to position Turkey as the global leader in pasta exports.
