Turkey with large sunflower and sunflower oil imports in October

Analysts from Oil World (ISTA Mielke - Germany) expect Turkey to sharply increase the import of sunflower seeds and sunflower oil in October due to insufficient domestic supply. According to the leading industry German analytical publication, cited by APК-Inform, to boost imports, the Turkish government has reduced the duties on sunflower seeds and crude sunflower oil to 12% and 30%, respectively, effective from October 1. Turkish buyers have already signed contracts for the import of large quantities of sunflower and vegetable oil from neighboring countries.
