The Istanbul Grain Pulses Oil Seeds and Products Exporters' Association (İHBİR) has reported a 16.5% increase in October exports for the Turkish grain industry, reaching $1.45 billion, and a 27.3% increase in total exports from January to October, amounting to $9.297 billion. The top exporters were Iraq, the USA, and Syria, with sugar and sugar products being the most exported good. The functionalization of the Grain Corridor, following Russia's withdrawal, has eased tensions and stabilized wheat prices. Despite logistical challenges and supply chain disruptions, İHBİR is optimistic about maintaining current export levels and expects to close 2022 with $13 billion in exports. However, concerns persist regarding the financing of industrial exporters.
