In 2023, Türkiye saw a 4.8% increase in cow milk collection, reaching 10.2 million tons, as per the Turkish Statistical Institute. The country also produced significant amounts of various dairy products including 1.5 million tons of drinking milk, 771,067 tons of cheese, and 1.2 million tons of yogurt. Despite this, dairy exports dropped by 36.06% to $390.6 million, while imports rose by 56.2% to $130.7 million. Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and the US were the primary markets for Turkish dairy exports.
