Türkiye: Export of sea snails exceeds export of anchovies

In 2023, the export of sea snails from Turkey generated an influx of foreign currency in the amount of 22 million 637 thousand 304 dollars, which is equivalent to 2 million 50 thousand 343 kilograms. The first three places in exports were taken by the Republic of South Korea with 916 thousand 200 kilograms, the People's Republic of China with 330 thousand 100 kilograms and Spain with 398 thousand 27 kilograms. Turkish sea snails are also purchased by Japan, Taiwan, Ukraine, Georgia, Romania, Azerbaijan and others. In 2022, the export of sea snails to 7 countries will provide an influx of foreign currency in the amount of 18 million 779 thousand 917 dollars, which is equivalent to 2 million 176 thousand 240 kilograms, while in 2021 this figure was 14 million 707 thousand 305 dollars.
