Two coffee growers from the Valley of the Rivers Apurímac, Ene, and Mantaro (Vraem) who bet on the alternative development promoted by the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida), have classified for the final stage of the Peru Excellence Cup 2025, the most important competition that distinguishes the quality and excellence of Peruvian coffee.
The classified producers are Isaías Lagos Pérez, a member of the Matices de Altura Association from the town of Cajadela, Anco district (Ayacucho), and Marcos Severo Uscamaita Malpartida, a member of the Association of Agricultural Producers of the Río Palia Basin, from the town of Interandino, Pangoa district (Junín).
This achievement reflects the coordinated work between the producers and Devida, which ─through the Integral and Sustainable Alternative Development─ promotes actions to strengthen technical capabilities, provide permanent assistance, and promote the use of inputs and technologies that improve the productivity and quality of coffee in the Vraem.
