Ucayali: Devida strengthens capabilities to boost banana production in 850 families

With the aim of improving the quality and productivity of banana cultivation, the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) developed specialized training directed at its field technical team in the Ucayali region. This action will allow for the strengthening of technical assistance to 850 producing families linked to alternative development. During the session, participants reinforced knowledge in integrated crop management, with an emphasis on the quality of the cluster, as well as on proper harvesting and post-harvest practices. These tools contribute to improving productivity and access to competitive markets. The intervention covers 1050 hectares of banana cultivation in the districts of Nueva Requena, Yarinacocha, Callería, and Masisea, in Ucayali.
