The article provides an overview of the dynamics of quail population, egg and meat production in Ukraine over the past decade. It highlights that the population has fluctuated between 1.96-3.26 million, with a peak in 2014 when egg production reached 638.8 million. However, there has been a decline in egg production since then, attributed to reduced purchasing power and increased feed prices. The situation is similar for quail meat production. The article points out that the lack of government support and unfair business practices by large retail chains are major obstacles hindering the growth of the quail farming industry.
