Ukraine has started exporting domestic rice and buckwheat seeds to Kazakhstan and Moldova, respectively. The seed market in Ukraine is projected to grow by over 30% by the end of 2025, reaching $2.5 billion. In the first four months of 2020, seed exports brought in $12.9 million. Ukraine sells wheat seeds at half the price it buys them and sorghum at 15 times less. The majority of its seed sales are hybrid corn seeds to Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Kazakhstan.
