Odesa region is the only region in Ukraine where agricultural producers currently grow rice. Its gross collection this year was 2.7 thousand tons. This was reported by Alla Stoyanova, director of the Department of Agrarian Policy, Food and Land Relations of Odesa government. “Odesa region was one of the first regions to complete harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops on an area of 991,000 hectares and threshed 2.6 million tons of grain, including 1.7 million tons of wheat. According to this indicator, the region ranks first in the country,” Alla Stoyanova emphasized.
