A new variety of honeysuckberry, Boreal Beauty, has set a record for the largest honeysuckberry berry at 6.57 g, more than twice the average weight of the variety. The Boreal Beauty variety, developed in Canada, is also the most productive of over 25 varieties tested by FruTek LLC in Ukraine, producing an average yield of 3.5 kg per bush. The berry is rich in antioxidants, with a phenolic compound content of 887 mg/100 g, making it the highest among currently grown commercial berry crops.
