China is the world leader in producing quail eggs, accounting for 38% of the total production with an annual output of 184 billion. It exports its products to Japan, Russia, Korea, and the Middle East, while Brazil and the US follow in the production ranks. The European Union, with France, Italy, and Spain having small volumes, places Ukraine as one of its largest producers. The consumption pattern also varies by region, with quail meat being more popular in the EU, whereas, in most Asian countries, it's the eggs that are preferred.
