The European Commission has lifted the ban on the export of apple, plum, and cherry tree planting material from Ukraine to EU countries, following a phytosanitary risk analysis by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Exporters will now need to meet specific phytosanitary requirements outlined in the regulations. This development comes after three years of collaboration between Ukraine and the EU to prepare the necessary technical dossiers for export, ensuring the absence of quarantine pests and harmful organisms.
