Ukraine slows down the pace of pork processing

For 8 months of 2021, meat processing enterprises of Ukraine produced 3.8% more pig meat than in January-August 2020. This was reported by the press service of the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine (ACS) with reference to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. It is noted that at the same time, the increase in pork production for 7 months was noticeable - exceeding 8%. According to the State Statistics Service, in January-August 2021, the meat processing industry produced 211.6 thousand tons of chilled, frozen pork and dried, smoked or salted products from it. This is 7.8 thousand tons or 3.8% more than in the same period last year.
