Ukraine spent 12.6% less on the import of lard in 7 months

In the first seven months of 2023, Ukraine's imports of lard, pork fat, and poultry fat decreased by 12.6% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 13.9 thousand tons. The total value of these imports reached $14.7 million, which is 19.7% lower than last year. In July 2023 alone, Ukraine imported 1.8 thousand tons of lard and fat worth $2 million from Poland, the Netherlands, and Spain, with Poland being the largest supplier at 45%. Lard prices in Ukraine have decreased since the beginning of the year.
