In 2020, despite challenges in the fresh berry export market, Ukraine saw a slight increase in exports of frozen berries, reaching 44.6 thousand tons, up from 43.5 thousand tons the previous year. The main exports were blueberries, other wild berries, and raspberries. Deliveries of frozen blueberries decreased by 16%, while raspberries were exported in almost double the amount of the previous year. Strawberry exports saw a significant decrease, while blackberries and mulberries saw a 56% increase. Poland remained the main market for Ukrainian frozen berries, with a 20% increase in imports, and there was also a notable increase in supplies to Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. China continued to be the main market outside the EU, increasing its purchases of Ukrainian frozen berries.
