A ship carrying 23,000 tonnes of wheat from Ukraine docked in the Horn of Africa on August 30, marking the first delivery since Russia's invasion, and another ship with 7,000 tonnes is expected soon. The wheat, marked for Ethiopia, can feed 1.5 million people for a month. This is just a drop in the ocean as the United Nations World Food Program reported that 82 million people in nine East African countries require food aid due to extreme weather, rising food prices, and regional conflicts.
