Unemployment in the agricultural sector increased by 1.68% in October compared to September, with 1,270 more unemployed people, bringing the total to 76,650, up from 75,380 in September, according to data from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Compared to October 2024, unemployment in the primary sector has decreased by 10,864 unemployed people, representing a drop of 12.41%. If in October 2025 agricultural unemployment stood at 76,650 people, in the same month of 2024 it affected 87,514 people; in October 2023, 101,965 people; in the same month of 2002, 122,737 people; and in 2021, 156,188 people—more than double that of this year.
