Panennews.com - The price of large red chilies and native chicken meat rose significantly at West Java's traditional markets on Wednesday trading (15/7). The PIHPS Bank Indonesia report shows a surge in these horticulture and livestock sectors, followed by an increase in the price of native chicken eggs and most types of cooking oil. Large red chilies recorded the highest increase today at 15.58 percent to Rp51,200 per kilogram, followed by native chicken meat which strengthened to Rp36,850 per kilogram. Other commodities such as native chicken eggs also rose to Rp25,100 per kilogram, while grade I and II beef prices moved in the opposite direction with a significant decline to Rp156,450 and Rp147,150 per kilogram, respectively.
