Panennews.com - The entire line of kitchen spices from the compact chili group surged in line with the strengthening of thin livestock commodities in the traditional West Java market during Thursday trading (9/7/2026). The report from the Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) of Bank Indonesia noted that the increasing price pressure on horticulture commodities occurred as the entire quality of rice remained stable. The sharpest price jump today was led by red chili peppers which soared 9.98 percent to Rp56,150 per kilogram, followed by green chili peppers which rocketed 8.7 percent to Rp51,250 per kilogram. This increase was also accompanied by large red chilies and curly red chilies, as well as a slight increase in the price of native chicken meat at Rp33,000 per kilogram and native chicken eggs at Rp24,650 per kilogram.
