In September, U.S. pork and beef exports experienced notable growth compared to the previous year, with pork exports increasing by 8% in volume and 6% in value, and beef exports rising by 5% in volume and 6% in value. Pork exports are poised to set annual records in 2024, fueled by demand in regions like Central America, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, along with significant growth in Colombia and Mexico. While beef exports saw a slight decline in cumulative volume, their value increased due to strong demand in Asian markets such as Japan, Taiwan, and Korea, as well as emerging markets like the Philippines and Indonesia. Additionally, lamb meat exports, despite a dip in September, have surpassed last year's volume by 13% year-to-date, with growth observed in the Caribbean, Mexico, and some Asian markets.
