The USA has recently increased cow numbers, raised milk production, and expanded the production of dairy products. This has an effect on exports to the world market. The export of butter (including butter oil in butter value) leads the US exports of dairy products: It rose most significantly by 80.3% to 31,017 t. Almost a quarter (22.9%) of the total amount went to Canada with a decrease of 7.6%. The USA delivered another 16.5% and thus 5.6% more than in the previous year period to Mexico. Only around 3% of the exports found their market in the EU-27. Cheese exports continue their growth from previous years and increased by 20.2% to 110,094 t.
