Forecast for increase in world wheat production and decrease in feed grains

Deliveries are slightly down as the increase in production almost compensates for the decrease in initial stocks, which are mainly reduced due to an increase in feed consumption for China and residual consumption. This reduction is based on an updated analysis of government auction data for old wheat stocks. Almost offsetting this shift, global production rose 5.1 million tons to 788.9 million, driven mainly by increases in Kazakhstan, Australia and India. Production estimates for all three countries are based on updated government data. Wheat production in Kazakhstan is now forecast at 16.4 million tons, 2.4 million more than last month, and is expected to be the largest harvest since the 2011/2012 season.
