Uzbekistan has maintained its position as the world's third-largest exporter of fresh apricots for the second year in a row in 2024, despite a 23% decrease in exports. This is due to Spain's increased exports and Turkey's slight reduction. The future of Uzbekistan's exports depends on extending the sales season, as currently, it only exports apricots for two months. The country's export dependence and risk are increased by its inability to diversify markets. In 2023, Tajikistan entered the top 10 world exporters of fresh apricots for the first time, shipping about 9 thousand tons.
