Vegetable prices in the local market have doubled or tripled due to flooding and transportation difficulties, causing supply limitations. Despite these increases, prices are still lower than at clean food stores. Supermarkets, on the other hand, have stable supply and prices, offering vegetables at half the market rate. In response, retailers have increased imports from the South and Lam Dong to offset the impact on local suppliers. Traders in Da Lat and the Central Highlands have also increased collection of agricultural products. The Ministry of Industry and Trade advises consumers to remain calm and assures that the supply of essential goods is guaranteed.
