In 2024, Cambodia experienced a significant growth in its cashew nut export industry, with a 24% increase in volume and a 31% increase in value compared to the previous year. The country exported 815 thousand tons of cashew nuts, valued at 1.15 billion USD. Vietnam was the primary importer, receiving about 90% of these exports, followed by India and China. Cambodia's raw cashew nut production rose to 850 thousand tons, marking a 26% increase and positioning the country as the world's second-largest producer. This growth is anticipated to boost the cashew industry and maintain high cashew nut prices in the year to come.
