Despite a decrease in the quantity of frozen shrimp imported by China, the import value still increased by 7% due to the rise in average prices. Ecuador, with its large production volume and competitive prices, dominates the Chinese market with a 75% share. In contrast, India, the second-largest supplier, faces challenges as its market share continues to decline. Instead, it targets the high-end segment, emphasizing high-quality products, large black tiger shrimp, and processed seafood.
