Volgograd enterprises increased butter production by 52.1%

According to Rosstat, dairy processing enterprises in the Volgograd region produced 2.0 thousand tons of butter over January through May this year. This is 52.1% more than a year earlier. In addition, milk production (excluding raw milk) increased by 26.3%, reaching 11.3 thousand tons, and kefir production grew by 12.4%, to 1.6 thousand tons. Cheese production amounted to 5.2 thousand tons, and sour cream to 1.3 thousand tons. Over five months, the region also produced 0.8 thousand tons of fresh, cooled, or chilled pork — 18.5% more than during the same period in 2024. Production of chilled and frozen meat and meat-containing semi-finished products increased by 4.6% to 15.9 thousand tons. Additionally, Volgograd processors manufactured 5.9 thousand tons of sausage products and 0.1 thousand tons of fresh, cooled, or chilled cattle meat (beef and veal).
