In spite of the drought, the walnut harvest has commenced in the Kaman district of Kırşehir, Turkey, a key walnut production region. Despite the dry conditions, the yield is expected to be high, with walnut producers working diligently to ensure a good harvest and quality nuts. The Kaman District Chamber of Agriculture is hopeful that the walnuts have not been affected by the extreme heat. The district's walnuts, known for their yellowish, oily, and delicious taste, have received a geographical indication status three years ago.
