The official exchange rate demonstrated an overall moderate strengthening of the hryvnia with a slight rollback at the end: the rate on Friday rose to 42.8483 UAH/$. In the end, the exchange rate decreased by 29 kopecks, or 67%, over the entire past week. Anna Zolotko, a board member and director of the Treasury Operations Department at Unex Bank, reported this. "Low volatility and moderate strengthening," Zolotko noted. The official exchange rate of the National Bank was as follows: Bank counter purchases at the start of the previous week were below 43 hryvnia per dollar and on Monday, the buy/sell rates were held at 42.86/43.41 UAH/$, on Tuesday slightly lower at 42.71/43.28 UAH/$, on Wednesday and Thursday at 42.56/43.12 UAH/$ respectively, and on Friday at 42.60/43.14 UAH/$.
