Why does Vietnam only account for 0.4% of the total tea imported into the German market?

Source: According to data from the European Statistics Agency (Eurostat), in the first 5 months of 2023, Germany imported tea reaching 28.9 thousand tons, worth 92.6 million Euro (equivalent to 100 million USD), down 6.3 % in volume and down 3.7% in value compared to the same period in 2022. The average price of imported tea into the German market in the first 5 months of 2023 reached 4,441.9 USD/ton, up 2.8% compared to same period in 2022. China, India, Sri Lanka, Argentina and Belgium are the 5 markets supplying the most tea to Germany in the first 5 months of 2023. Imports from these markets account for 63.7% of Germany's total tea imports. . In particular, Germany only increased the proportion of imports from Argentina and Belgium, but decreased the proportion of imports from the Chinese, Indian and Sri Lankan markets.
