The penultimate week of December began with relatively mild weather conditions: positive temperatures, high humidity, and fog. Subsequently, a Scandinavian anticyclone with cold air entered the country's territory. Temperatures dropped to -10°C in the northern, Kharkiv, Volyn, and Rivne regions, from -5°C to -7°C during the day, and up to +3°C in the southern regions. Light snow and, in some places, hail were observed in the west, north, and some eastern regions. This is stated in the analytical report of the NAAS. From December 26, atmospheric fronts from the northeast brought more cloudiness and snow, which formed a cover in the northern, partially central, and western regions. According to the Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture, in the Odesa region, the average temperature from December 19 to December 25 was +3°C, which is 2.2°C above the norm for the third decade of December.
