The National Peruvian Agricultural Convention proposes an emergency plan

11/19/2023 The National Peruvian Agricultural Convention (Conveagro), in collaboration with its unions and associates, has presented an ambitious emergency plan aimed at revitalizing the agricultural sector and guaranteeing the country's food security. The plan comprehensively addresses the agricultural crisis that is plaguing Peru. These include an agricultural assistance bonus aimed at providing compensatory and productive support to farmers registered in the Register of Agricultural Producers (PPA). It is also proposed to create temporary jobs in rural areas, especially focused on irrigation infrastructure and El Niño prevention work, with the aim of boosting the local economy. Credits The plan also contemplates creating lines of credit for farmers, with preferential conditions, including low interest and extensions of grace periods.
