The Consulate of the Lonja de Valencia has started publishing its weekly bulletins for the new citrus campaign 2023/24, reporting rising prices due to a decrease in supply caused by adverse weather conditions in the Mediterranean basin. The Valencian Association of Farmers attributes the decrease in citrus production to high temperatures, cold weather, persistent rainfall, and localized hail storms. The Lonja de Cítricos de Valencia has also launched a new website to provide information on prices and improve transparency in sales contracts for the citrus industry.
