Morocco gains a position of leading producer of carrots and turnips

Morocco's carrot and turnip production increased from 35,000 tonnes in 1969 to 475,737 tonnes in 2019, according to data from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This makes the Kingdom one of the leading producer of turnips and carrots in Africa and the 18th in the world. Despite a drop in production in comparison to 2018, Morocco stood out in the ranking as the main producers of carrots and turnips.
