The Zambian government invested $54.5 million into cashew production in regions of the country where climate change has caused traditional corn production to become difficult. The country hopes to catch up with other large cashew producing countries in Africa including Benin, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Tanzania.
