Food prices in Russia in April 2021, compared to April 2020, show a steady growth. AB-Center analyzed the dynamics of 121 products, of which a decrease is observed only in 6 products. At the same time, an increase in food prices of over 25% is observed in 9 products, over 10% - in 32 products. Note that inflation in the country for the year (if we compare April 2020 and April 2021), according to the inflation calculator on the website level-inflation.rf, was 6.40%. The rise in prices above the inflation rate is demonstrated by 63 goods out of 121. Leaders in the growth of food prices To a greater extent, the increase in prices for the year affected such food products as potatoes (+ 47.7%), beetroot (+ 44.5%), carrots (+ 38.9%), sugar (+ 37.8%), chicken eggs (+ 31.3%), nuts (+ 30.5%), salmon caviar (+ 29.0%), sunflower oil (+ 27.6%) and cucumbers (+ 25.0%).
