Despite being plagued by COVID-19, the demand for fresh strawberries in the market is quite high. A generally good start to the season preceded by warmer temperatures has made Mexico and Spain continue to produce strawberries on a large scale. With the increase in demand and good production values, it is enough to make the imports of strawberries from these two markets conspicuous which also pushes the price to become more expensive. The fresh strawberries in Mexico rose higher to 1.87 USD per KG in W3 August 2021. The price of the Fortuna variety in the Spanish market was actually higher and sold for 10.61 USD per KG in the same period.
