50% lower yield in artichokes compared to last year

Due to the long winter season, there is a decrease in the yield of nearly 50% in artichokes grown in Izmir. The suppliers noted a 30% average increase in artichoke prices. They noted that input costs have increased and yields are low. The price level is about USD 0.54-0.67/kg in 2022, whereas it was USD 0.40/kg in 2021.
