Turkey's fish production increased by 33% in 2019

Turkey's fish production has increased by 33% in 2019 and reached 837 kmt. 45% of the production was fishes caught via fishing whereas 7% of the production was other sea products.

Among products via fishing, anchovy was the top product with 263 kmt, followed by sprat with 38 kmt and sardine with 19 kmt.

Annual fish product consumption per person has increased by 2% in 2019 and reached 6.26 kg.
