The demand for pork in the central region of Mexico's domestic market has reduced by 50% since COVID19 induced lockdown started in March. The prices have reduced by 33% forcing the producers to cut their production by over 60%. The pork association of the region is expecting that over 32% of the producers in the country will go bankrupt by August 2020.
