Alfalfa production costs have reached a sky-high record for companies that mainly use natural gas to dry the bales. This year, sheep farms can reserve alfalfa bales by paying a premium price since goat and sheep milk prices doubled after a record export rally for Greek Feta cheese. On the other side, cow dairy farms don’t follow; cow milk prices remain stagnantly low.
