Canadian Masoor, White Pea and Chickpea Production Volume up 43.2%, 51.5% And 67.9% Respectively

In the last 2 years, Canadian Masoor, White Pea and Chickpea experienced drastic production increases due to favourable weather conditions despite the COVID-19 outbreak. Masoor production volume increased from 1,61MMT to 2,30MMT, an increase of 43.2% in the 2021/22 season compared to the 2020/21 season where there was a 44% drop in production. White Pea harvest volume went from 2,26MMT to 3,42MMT, up 51.6% in the 2021/22 season compared to last year where it dropped 50.9%. Chickpea production volume increased from 76,000MT to 128,000MT, up 67.9% compared to the previous season when it went down 64.5%.
