Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam recently led a delegation to engage in discussions with the People's Government of Guangdong Province regarding trade and agricultural development. In the course of conversations with officials from the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, mutual agreements were reached on diverse agricultural cooperation initiatives. While anticipating the signing of the Protocol, China intends to establish a distinctive registration system for lobster exports from Vietnam. Additionally, plans are in motion to lift the existing ban on poultry imports from Vietnam. Efforts are being coordinated to streamline the procedures for lifting the import ban.

Notably, the collaboration between Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam and the Guangdong province holds promise for enhancing agricultural ties. The potential removal of the poultry import ban signals a positive development for Vietnam's agricultural exports. However, it is crucial to monitor the implementation of the special registration system to ensure fair and transparent trade practices.
