Drought reduces the production of Myanmar honey, but low demand has also pushed down prices

In the Central Region of Myanmar, there was less rainfall between June and September than expected, which affected sesame flower blossom. The less flower blossom significantly reduced honey production. On top of this, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all the international buyers have stopped buying honey. And thus, the market price decreases from MMK 3000 per viss to MMK 2000 per viss only.
