Export slowdown of Chinese mushrooms leads to a cost increase for Preserves manufacturers in Italy

Due to raw material availability and container costs, it has become harder to find mushrooms and raw materials in barrels at the same cost as last year, which are sourced from China. Producers have informed that they are now buying mushrooms from Spain but the price and quality are significantly different. As a consequence, industrial processes have been adjusted, and production costs for preserves manufacturers have increased.
