Global cashew nut production is forecasted at 4.46MMT in 2022/23, an increase of 1% from 2021. For the upcoming harvests in Vietnam and Cambodia, growing conditions have been favorable so far, and if the trend continues, it could signal buyers to stop signing contracts and wait for the prices to decrease. Imports to the EU and the US fell significantly between July and September, which led to a stock reduction in these markets. However, November saw a slight increase in imports, which caused prices to increase. The weakening USD may also have an impact on purchasing power in the near future.
